Are there any active communities for older, slightly more discerning anime fans?

I'm not one of those "seasonal is shit" fags but jesus christ I'm having trouble tolerating people who actually think shows by Trigger, new-Kyoani and A-1are good. A lot of it probably has to do with age discrepancy.

If anyone here is not dead please let me know. I probably missed out on joining all the niche communities as I was too lazy to browse anything but 4chan for the longest time.

You could probably look for some older forums dedicated to 'otaku' shit or one with an anime subforum? I'm sure there are plenty out there.

I'm very frustrated with the state of the "anime community" everywhere especially imageboards. On one hand, I' getting sick of the ironic entry level normalfaggots who just spam lewds all day. On the other hand, there's a growing number of supposed anime fans who complain about "over sexualization of women" in anime. Now I've always been okay with a good softcore show, I'm just wondering what happened to the middle ground? Where did the people go who genuinely liked diving deep into anime and liked the medium in all it's sexiness and stupidity?

Okay, howabout this, it's pretty radical though, and apparently ceasing it causes anxiety. of all kinds. Get off social media. Really. Do it. The pressure of the having to fit in-or not-and worrying about someone going off on you for something you enjoy. Stop being a slave to slogans. If you're into anime due to agendas, you're doing it wrong.
Like what you like, don't like what you don't like.
If someone says you're wrong for it-they're wrong for saying it. It is your life, right?
