Newfoundlanders are cool. Neighbours have a couple of Irish wolfies which are some real gentle giants. Great dogs except I don't really care for their kind of fur.

Favourite dog is Doberman if you count that as a big dog, though I guess they're more like medium sized.

Bernese mountain dog. They're playful but chill, affectionate, good with kids, look like small bears, and have insanely cuddly fur.

Unfortunately they have a lot of health problems and tend to not live very long. My neighbors have been through like four of them. They're a lot of fun though.

yeah, same with newfoundlands. Because of their size, their hind legs tend to just, give out, but they're great dogs.

This is my dog, WolfhoundxPitbull.

He's basically a huge pitbull with spikey hair on his back and a mohawk on his neck.

Weird mix, I know. Can't take him for walks because he attacks every male dog he sees. But he's really gentle with people that he knows.

I was going to say Caucasian Shepherds also - yes they are a real breed. Check out the different variations of the breed (also known as an Ovcharka if you look it up).

I have a Rottweiler, so... <3 fave.
Cane Corsos, Presa Canarios, and the like are pretty sweet, too. Although I like my dogs to have a clean bite (no jowls).
