soup /b/

due to this being 7chan i expect most of you to be older and more experienced than the average /adv/tard on niggertits.

i have arrived at a point in my life where i have to make some major decisions. round about 2 years ago i have graduated from high school and i really dont know what to do from here.
im currently enrolled in university for some kind of CS/math program and i cant get back into learning quite as easily as i imagined it. on the one hand i could get a bachelor in Math and CS in 3 years in case everything goes smoothly, which it wont. more relistically its like 4 years. but then what? a bachelor in mathematics is useless and just about everyone seems to have a bachelors degree in CS nowadays. i could go for a masters in math but i'm told you need a PhD to really go hard in maths or your peers wont even take a shit in your direction.
so thats another like 5 years

ive been thinking about becoming an apprentice salesman/chemist/whatever. which wouldnt be a problem for me personally its just that it would be a huge disappointment for my parents i believe. they have always been very proud and for me to airwolf up again would set the bar incredibly low. by again i mean that since my graduation i have dropped out of university after a month already.

whatever, i think im just rambling at this point.
what i am asking of you, anonymous, is to share some of your coming-of-age stories. it doesnt even have to do anything with my particular problem at all, just share something. i need inspiration

pic unrelated

Challenging fields like CS are in demand no? Most bachelor's degrees are worthless. If you are a Amerifag, which I'm assuming, then finish school sooner rather than later and find an apprenticeship in the meantime. Many places give part-time, no benefits (out of school). Shit sucks mayne.

That's called an internship, and only morons don't sign up for them as regularly as possible while attending school, since it builds a history of work experience that you'll need to get an actual job.

The problem with most schools are that they teach you theory but don't teach mechanics. Internships are supposed to teach you mechanics. Nobody wants to hire someone fresh out of school for gobs of money because you have to unlearn all the pointless bullshit they taught you and learn how to actually do your job.

The only time that's not true is when you're going into the education field. Then all that bullshit they taught you is just perfect because then you can pass it along to the next group. Just hope you enjoy getting paid shit wages because we don't believe in paying educators a living wage.

Those fukking psychopaths put so strong toxic chemicals on the clothes that the machine that was used to wash those clothes still has the remains of the chemicals after three months and hundreds times of use.

The toxic chemical makes your skin very itchy and hot and eventually affects your nerves and heart.

I have a co-worker who helps me out with my job for a few hours at the end of each day. Her crutch phrase is "fair enough". She says it pretty much every time you answer one of her questions. Yesterday I decided to keep a tally on how often she said it in the two hours she was around. It was eight. She said that shit eight times.
