Awoooooooo~ I hope everyone has recovered nicely from last night! (= ^..^)_δΈ” I know I needed a whole day!

This month is a special treat for us lunar observers. Tonight is the full wolf moon! 🐺 Its during this time wolves can often be heard howling at the full moon hungry for sustinence to last them throughout the rest of the long winter. Not only that, but it will also be the biggest and brightest super moon of the year!

There will be two full moons this month and the one on January 31st will also occur during a total lunar eclipse or "bloodmoon". If you live in the western U.S., Hawaii, or the eastern half of Asia, you'll see the moon turn blood red as it enters the deepest parts of the Earth's shadow during the eclipse.

Has anyone made any resolutions for this year? Best wishes and I hope the weather is nice for a great viewing! (=^β–½^=)

Liru, I was thinking of your posts as I was coming home from work, as I knew there was a full moon tonight, and got a nice view of it from the front yard when I got back.
Not for very long though, it's pretty frigid out there.
Stay warm, and keep up the good work!

I never understood the point of new year's resolutions. If you want to do or change something go for it; if you feel like you have to wait for some arbitrary date you might as well not bother because if it can wait, it clearly isn't important.

Local art center? Is that part of a community college or a art school? Best of luck! ヽ(ο½₯βˆ€ο½₯)οΎ‰ Anyone is better than me. Do you have a specific type of art you are focusing on?

>>778037
I think its a easily quantifiable time they can say " alright, I am gonna start this NOOOW!" Ok, yeah that might be nutso, but I think in times of high emotional or social events we tend to make certain resolutions whether public or personal.

Is anyone else feeling the effects of this Noreaster snow storm? I am in a mystical place called Mystic, Connecticut. It really is a beautiful little town and I am glad I got in early! I travel around to conventions because of my job. I left a day early and I was able to see some of it before the snow started. So cozy being in a nice suite. The people of all Marriott's are so nice to me. Has anyone toured the USS Nautilus?

Snow storms? Hell, it's not even cold out here. It's like we're skipping winter altogether.

I'm in the netherlands. No idea what the outside temperature is but when there's no wind you don't really need a coat, so it can't be particularly low.

Hiya all! (=οΎŸΟ‰οΎŸ)οΎ‰

I decided to just bump my old thread for tomorrows FULL SUPER BLUE BLOOD MOON seeings how it is in the same month as my original post and I can also easily attach some info for us moon and sky watchers!

So yeah, this event coming up tomorrow morning is quite special. Not only is it a full moon... its a supermoon, a blue moon and a blood moon all rolled into one awesome celestial event! Im sooo sad I will have one of the worse viewings of this on the east coast and at such an inconvenient time for me. (5:51am EST) (⌣_βŒ£β€)

Are there any Alaskan, Hawaiian or West Coast anons here? You will have the best view of this event! For you west coasters, umbral eclipse begins at 3:48 a.m. At 4:51 a.m., totality will begin, with best viewing between about 5 and 6 a.m.

I encourage everyone (especially the west coasters and Hawaiians) to check it out! There hasn't been an event like this visible in the United States since 1866!

Cya Round! πŸŒ•

I know! Its so bright! I saw such a lovely view of the snow on the ground earlier that night. The snow looked like glowing blue orbs. I came back later when the moon was much higher above and took a picture and it was much less vibrant.

I used to surf the web with my Xbox while my SO used our laptop to troll Facebook. You're not able to save pics to the Xbox so I had a shitton of bookmarks instead. It kind of blew.

Sega Saturn Netlink couldn't save anything either; didn't stop me from creating my first homepage--the graphics were cross-linked from all over the Internet.
