My pen is almost completely used up. This is an exciting time.

John Smith 18/03/24(Sat)12:41 No. 46462

That is rather exciting, as weird as it may seem. Something about having a nice pen and maintaining it is neat. I happen to like the pens that draw heavy, feels like it brings more emphasis to the words to me.
Recently a girl that I was seeing lost a cherished pen to me, it was a small black pen that I had bought in the Philippines, not important, but it meant a lot to me.

What did you usually write with your pen?

John Smith 18/03/24(Sat)13:12 No. 46464

Hi John,

Thank you for your prompt response. Sorry about your pen, I too get attached to mine. Gel pens are really nice, but they're a bit pricey. I think it's a nice treat every once in a while. I'm in a few college classes that require a lot of note taking, so I go through pens pretty quickly. I like taking notes though.

the fuck

John Smith 18/03/24(Sat)17:40 No. 46466

I do not think you are a frequent visitor.

John Smith 18/03/24(Sat)21:49 No. 46467

The world is a diverse place. You make a compelling case for a bolder pen, though in the past my preferences led more toward 0.5 mm Uniball pens. I like that brand's smooth flow of ink, and the micro point helps amplify the nearly frictionless feeling.

Society is richer for having many pens to choose from. It lets me believe that there is a pen for every John out there.

John Smith 18/03/25(Sun)04:19 No. 46469

I actually never completely used a pen, how it feels?

John Smith 18/03/25(Sun)14:41 No. 46473

Sorry, I misunderstood the post. It feels nice, usually I lose my pens before fully finishing them. Almost like I accomplished something

John Smith 18/03/25(Sun)17:43 No. 46475

I too have been looking towards moving towards the .5 pen. I recently saw my Calc II teacher using a pen that was .5 but also erasable. Ive been trying to find one like it for weeks it seems.
Hope you are doing well, and if you have any recommendations I will be thankful to hear them.

John Smith 18/03/27(Tue)03:16 No. 46477

I had a lot of Uniball pens in seventh grade. There was a small office supply shop on my way home from school and my friend and I often went in and bought cool pens and colored White Out. I bought the Uniball pinks and purples because I unconsciously had a huge crush on my other friend so I bought the same kind of pens she had for some reason.

This is getting too interesting.

John Smith 18/03/27(Tue)04:49 No. 46478

I apologize for a bit of typoes this may have, Im a bit intoxicated. I too bought pens similar to those of amiddle school crush. Her name was elizabeth in southern california, I was too pussy to ever makea move and found out she liked me years later. It was something I often regretted as a child but have now come to overlook. Tell me about your childhood crush Id love to hear about it John.

It's the home stretch! Just a little bit more...

John Smith 18/03/29(Thu)14:23 No. 46482

Yes almost there John, one more day of work after this and I get to enjoy my weekend and do a bit of writing myself. Hope you are well.

/eh/ isn't the board for discussing such things.
And I remembered the pens were actually Pilot fine points. I have a blue one in my desk and it jogged that bit of memory loose. Picture related.

Here's to no ink in your pen, OP.

John Smith 18/04/02(Mon)06:33 No. 46493

Wow! It's almost completely gone. Have you gotten a replacement yet?

I have. It's not as nice as a gel pen, but it's been laying around, unused. Might as well.

John Smith 18/04/03(Tue)21:10 No. 46499

I don't know how anyone can like gel pens. Maybe it was because I had cheap ones. When they actually work, they feel smooth, but the ones I had would clog up, and stop writing over the tiniest of reasons.

John Smith 18/04/04(Wed)16:52 No. 46505

I made the mistake of using a gel pen to respond to public restroom vandalism, and it hasn't written the same way since. Learn from my mistake and use felt tip pens for that purpose. Public toilet graffiti is a dying art form.

John Smith 18/04/10(Tue)05:14 No. 46535

I used to have an industrial marker that smelled like kerosene. That thing was glorious. I drew a huge dick on the door of an abandoned mill and it was still there when they tore it down twelve years later.

John Smith 18/04/17(Tue)04:58 No. 46544

The part about the marker smelling like kerosene is true but the dick part isn't. I don't know why I embellished my comment.

John Smith 18/04/25(Wed)05:27 No. 46551

How's the pen, OP?

John Smith 18/04/29(Sun)14:38 No. 46557

I have been needing to get a pen. It is very high up there on my wish list actually. I have gotten into drawing, long story short I think it would be pretty cool to ink my art with ink, haha. And a clipboard

John Smith 18/05/26(Sat)20:56 No. 46582

An update would be boffo.

John Smith 18/05/27(Sun)07:03 No. 46583

Congrats Jhon, I really love that feeling of finishing a pen.
If you think about it's unbelievable how much you can write with just one pen... Only if I could remember everhithing I wrote you know...

John Smith 18/05/29(Tue)16:27 No. 46585

thanks for being honest John

John Smith 18/06/03(Sun)00:55 No. 46589

Hi John.
It is a good thing you've brought up the subject of pens, for there's this one particular pen that has been a thorn in my conscience this past week.
You see, I bought a pen for myself and put it on the my company's tab.
The pen was a replacement and of the same kind as my old pen, which I had paid for with my own money and used prior to starting at my current job. I was quite fond of it but it was sadly broken during workhours the day before the purchase of the replacement.
Now, there is no reason to feel anything unpleasant about this purchase since I use it for work and am fully in the right to buy worktools if so needed.
And yet, I've been feeling guilty about it and hiding it from my coworkers, despite the fact that it's near indistinguishable from my old pen (aside for it being less worn and dirty). There's even been a few instances when a colleague has asked me to lend my pen and have felt a distinct fear of him discovering that it's new.

I know that this is one of those irrational things that can sometimes plague my conscience and that I will probably get over it during the next workweek, but for now I feel like a scoundrel that belongs in a penitentiary.

It feels slightly better having now confessed this.
Thank you for reading, John.

Sorry for my absence.
The red one is all used up. I moved on to a lame blue one for school. This one I use for work, for people to sign receipts all day. It's on its way out as well.

John Smith 18/06/06(Wed)19:49 No. 46597

this is an exciting time .. . lol

John Smith 18/06/06(Wed)19:56 No. 46598

true the stalls are looking bleeker these days bt i intend on getting back into the craft. my grafitti isnt very brass i feel my style is cultured. maybe i can create a new segment here entitled bathroom art ? (:3))

John Smith 18/06/11(Mon)04:11 No. 46603

Can bathroom graffiti be elevated to an art form, as other forms of graffiti have risen up and transformed into murals on public buildings?

Eh, why not, but ought it to? It loses its participatory character when it becomes a revered installation. These are not trades to be made lightly. The eh of passive acceptance must give way to the eh of careful deliberation.

John Smith 18/06/12(Tue)00:07 No. 46605

so the louvre is so because the building is expensive and those artists work harder so to speak. doesnt take away from the fact that someone somewhere would buy a painting from unknown painter just based on pure love of the image alone ?

John Smith 18/07/11(Wed)02:22 No. 46631

>buy a painting from unknown painter
I like this feel. Feels good.

John Smith 18/07/13(Fri)03:07 No. 46632

I like purple pens.
