I thought Library cards were free.

In some places they're not. They're typically free because your taxes pay for the library and its upkeep, but if they're not getting enough from taxes then they might charge a fee.

Lol, I didn't return like five books to my local library for two years so all of the libraries in my community blacklisted me. I would just use a fake name but I think they require social security number or address or something...

so i am a dumbass and cannot seem to extract the rar from the images. I am having trouble changing it from jpg to rar. could someone help me? I'm on vista, if that helps.

Have file extensions visible and just change "filename.jpeg" to "filename.rar.".

(extensions can be made visible from tools > folder options > view) (If the menu bar is not showing then click 'organise' > layout > menu bar)

Sorry if this was too obvious and you have some obscure problem from the demon of vista.

Macfag here, to open .rar files on a Mac download and install RAR Expander (http://rarexpander.sourceforge.net/Downloads.html). Then just extract and read.

>Books should be free.

Yeah, fuck the guys who spend the better part of a year writing the damn things(at the very, very least). They deserve nothing for their work.

If you ant to download books for free rather than buy them or getting them from the library or whatever, fine, but you're still stealing. Don't bother trying to justify it.
>> No. 2418

Books are expensive. I don't have the money to buy everything that appeals to me, books are expensive and in fairness libraries can be rather hit and miss anyway.

Am I not simply providing a library service here anyway?

differentfag here,
I would argue books are by far the cheapest media when you consider labour and worth.

(remembered my namefaggotry)

In addition the vast majority of my books come from second hand shops, meaning I've paid someone who is not the author for a book. Is that alright in your eyes oh mighty swami?

>>books are by far the cheapest media when you consider labour and worth.

I'm not following this, sorry. Surely a DVD works out as the cheapest in this respect. Hundreds of people worked on the movie itself, there's all sorts of crap required to sort out the movie for DVD and I can still pick up Donnie Darko for two quid in Smith's.

[Two pound sterling in Stationary shop, for you not so local types]

let me add one more dimension then that I overlooked or rather believed was implied: quality. Also even longer movies will only last upwards of 3 hours, whereas a book will hold you for days.

Okay. I requested Reliquary: Sequel to the Relic here a few weeks ago.

Doesn't work.
>> No. 3283
This method does indeed work, but you have to list the image BEFORE you list the RAR/ZIP/whatever file. If you don't, the image isn't the first thing found, and no image viewer will support it.

I know, I just tested it. Putting a RAR first works for the RAR, but not the image.

I think that I could find one person to vouch for every last one of those books as being "good." Except for the Ann Coulter book "How to Talk to a Liberal." I say go with that one first, that way anything you read afterwards will seem phenomenal.

I've not made any Rars in JPGs myself but you've been trying to add some lits to the pics in this thread? They all already have lits/pdfs in them so that may mess something up.

If you're just trying to read the books in them, just right click the image where you have it saved, and then choose Open With...and then browse to WinRAR
