I have been coming here for, I'd say about 11 months now. Everything about 7chan was absolutely perfect for me. I wouldn't have changed anything besides the color. I was happy with what I was given, and never complained one bit.
Now, you come back.
The majority of 7chan is completely unhappy. You've officially fucked up the entire site for me, and many, many others. /di/ and /futa/ were my favorites. I was having a conversation with one of my favorite traps, who visited frequently. Now she, along with all others, are gone.
This goes without say. But I want to reinstate how foolish you are for this selfish, selfish move. If I had been come to 7chan a year ago, and it was like this, I would have hated this site more than anything.
I strongly suggest that you abandon your site, and leave the people who knew what they're doing back in charge. We can appreciate bold moves that help a site out, but this is just fucking crazy.
Simply put, please just leave. We don't want you back. You fucked up our fettishes. Just please, please, please leave and give us our boards back.

7chan could prune more often. Even if some of those boards had very small followings, those people were still there. If posts remained up a day less on some of the other boards, it would save more than enough space.
Besides, the inactive board thing is bullshit. Plenty of the deleted boards were very healthy.

I've been coming to 7chan for almost a year now, and I've always loved it. I don't recall a change in management; I never read the news, but I do know that the admins had been doing a better job lately, at least on the boards I went to. It seemed to be the golden days of 7chan.
I rarely left /zom/, /34/ and /wp/, but occasionally scanned the other boards. I came everyday, made a few brief posts (under Hermes, JV or good ol' Anon), spending a good hour or two on 7chan every day.
Well, I was certainly surprised when all the boards were deleted, I can tell you that!

As for the server bill, I was thinking that that was probably the reason but, for fuck sake, don't kill the best image board on the web because you can't pay for it. I suggest creating a fake /b/ board, full of posts, or a mirror or snapshot of a /b/ board, it will be a regular board, but none of those in the know will go there, except for the 4channers going there to troll.
or maybe make it a full mirror board, but they can post there and not know that their posts or any posts made on this "CAPTURE" board will show up on the "CLEAN CANCER FREE" /b/.
We can use the cookies to separate the herd so to speak. They can still enjoy 7chan and trolling of it to their hearts content; never knowing none of us will ever see their posts.

Hey admins! This had been discussed previously before the whole cancer epidemic but it was never put into place. Let's be honest, /elit/ can produce some pretty epic stories. I think that if an author sticks with it all the way, finishes the story, and it has a large amount of positive feedback, then the story should be set in stone for future generations to enjoy.
Good idea. I remember this really cool story about this chick called Lydia. Couldn't find it after about a month sadly, even though the author was putting more stories into that same thread. So glad I printed out the story first though...
Maybe I'm a total dick but I kind of like this whole minimal chan. The anticipation of new boards is a great reason to keep coming back. If slanted in the right direction we could the very first chan run by the people (for the people).
Let's say something like /vote/ opens up soon. It is set up a bit like /sug/ except it is strictly for the peer approval/not of new boards. If you wanted to suggest a new board you type out a description and submit. There would be no comments, rather a simple checkmark button beside every suggestion. This is casting your ballot. After three weeks /vote/ is cleared and the idea with the most votes gets established.
Alternately, and to avoid the flood of fetish requests, two boards could be established at the end of every 1-2 months (at a predetermined date naturally). A General Content one and a Porn one. /vote/ would be heavily moderated to remove anything off topic.

At first I wanted the boards separated into the way they were, but then I found out liked having hentai as one big "everything goes" board. The only problem with this is not everybody likes everything, some outright hate certain fetishes, like furry for example. Now I was thinking that when creating a thread in the hentai board, there would be a checklist of categories to pick from to "label" your thread. These would be named after the old boards Hentai, Neko, cake and so on. When browsing /h/ on 7chan there will be another checklist on the top of the page, by default these will be unchecked to prevent someone from seeing something they dislike. The idea is that you choose what "boards" you would like to see and make your own customized Hentai board. You could have hentai and neko enabled and it will only show threads that haved been labeled as such and nothing else. Alternatively the boards could return as they were but with an addition of a custom hentai board that would follow the above idea. This way users that prefer the original style of browsing and those who enjoy things as they are now will be pleased and 7chans' /h/ will rise and be envied by all.
An example of how the checklist would work is to look at hentaifoundry's search function.

How about the other way around? There could be separate boards like there used to be but with the option to choose which you see at the same time in your own customized /h/.

I use my PDA to browse the internet a lot when I'm not at home, and it seems that a lot of sites are implementing mobile-safe web pages that fits to a smaller screen. So what if 7chan was cell-phone friendly, that way you could always get lulz while you're on the go.
Why would you want to access 7chan from outdoors? If an average citizen saw you they would think you were a hacker trying to get rid of scientology and were also a pedophile. Ok, I like the idea but wouldnt more people be able to access 7chan at once? I think it could cause a massive spike in the number of people on at once and that means slower 7chan for all.
