I just got my CCW endorsement and my only handgun is a .22. I'm looking to trade in one of my long guns (Marlin 336 rc) for another handgun.

What are /w/'s recommendations for something that will be of approximate trade in value for the long gun? I'm looking for something I *could* conceivably conceal on my 6-1 190lb frame, nothing super expensive. I'm open to suggestions on either a revolver or semi, any common caliber 9mm or larger though I'd prefer something fairly cheap to target shoot with.

The picture is not mine, just a similar one. Mine is in decent condition 95% and I'm hoping to get 200-250 for it.

>Model 336 Carbine (R.C. Regular Carbine)

>This model was introduced in 1948 and was an improved version of the Model 36. It features a new-type round bolt, chrome-plated with improved extractor and redesigned cartridge carrier that improved feeding. It is chambered for the .30-30 and the .32 Special cartridges and has a 20" tapered round barrel with Ballard-type rifling. The finish is blued, with the receiver top matted to reduce reflections. The pistol-grip stock and semi-beavertail forend are of American walnut. It features Rocky Mountain-style rear and bead front sights, and the hammer is lowered to facilitate scope mounting.

If you're going to trade, expect the trade value to be closer to $150. You're likely not going to find someone that has what you want that wants that. Everyone and their grandmother has a 30-30 lever action. (guessing thats the caliber.) You're better off trying to sell it than trade it. Try armslist.com and ask $250 OBO.

Sweet thanks for the tip. The 200 to 250 was what I was quoted at a local pawnshop but they didn't have any handguns that looked decent.

Thanks for the link to armslist.
