You have to be kidding me. At the very least, he's gay for Captain America. Seriously, there have been panels where he's mentally referred to Steve's "handsome face" and "azure eyes". And then there was the Dramatic Kiss of Life. And the Harlequin-romance-esque cover page during the drinking arc. And the scene from after the Armor Wars arc where he tells Steve that Steve's what he'd miss most over all else. Honestly, I could keep going. It's really not hard to find.
And that's just on Tony's side of things; Steve's just as bad. Let's not even talk about all the touching that goes on between them, because that would take a while. They've each ended up passed out on each other's laps at least once.
And all of that isn't even counting the Confession, or the part where Steve trusted Tony with Bucky and the Captain America legacy even after all the Civil War bullshit.
Civil War fucked everything up, between pretty much everyone in the Marvel universe. I'm still waiting for Marvel to go, "SURPRISE! Haha, we really had you guys going. Okay, we'll stop being lunatics now."
