Temporary board removal Sazpaimon ## Admin ## 13/10/24(Thu)12:28 No. 7699

Due to a complaint from our host, /sm/ has been temporarily removed. We'll be working with them to determine if the complaint is valid, and will move /sm/ to a different host if need be.

What was the complaint?

>>
Sazpaimon ## Admin ## 13/10/24(Thu)17:48 No. 7702

The Russian government sent a complaint about /sm/ being CP, which our hosts seem to agree with:

"Yes, this content is also called Lolicon (Young Girls or Shotacon
(Young Boys) and ist also childporn."

So I guess I'll be looking for a new host. Shame because I already prepaid for November for the new server I just ordered.

>I already prepaid for November for the new server I just ordered.
You could stall the return of /sm/ till December, make good on the money you've already paid and bring it back for Christmas. Just be sure to lock and leave a note on /sm/ so people know it will be back. It also leaves you plenty of time to find a new server rather than having the community rush you to make a decision in appeasement.

You're a bunch of fucking geniuses, really. How long are you going to continue this charade of pretending like this isn't an exclusive attack on homosexual content?

>>
Anonymous 13/10/25(Fri)02:22 No. 7706

>>7705
What are you talking about? /men/, the crossdressing board, etc. are all still here. /be/ wasn't even a homosexual board and we all know that was a shit board anyway.

If the complain was only received about /sm/ then it makes sense to remove only /sm/. Sure the fact that they would report /sm/ and not /cake/ or /ss/ is odd, but I'm not going to call shenanigans after good intentions have been voiced. I just want /sm/ back and I'm not going to bitch and whine when we're being told we're going to get it back. Wait until it's been shown otherwise to whine about it.

>>
Sazpaimon 13/10/25(Fri)06:32 No. 7707

>>7705
What >>7706 said. Also, the only reason /sm/ was affected was because that was the only board reported by the complainant. Not sure how they missed /cake/ and /sm/, maybe their names are less obvious, but it can be assumed that they're equally at risk.

In other news, I believe I've secured hosting in a Romanian datacenter, but nothing is set in stone yet.

I'll have to go with the admin on this one. Some countries have laws against shota and loli. I know it doesn't make sense, but we are in no legal place to object to it. I guess we'll just have to endure this. I really hope it resolves in our favor though, because there are less and less shota boards left.

Pedohysteria roughly describes the United States for the past couple decades.

>>
Anonymous 13/11/07(Thu)09:38 No. 7762

>>7761

The sentence for molesting a child is always higher than that for assaulting a child (ie: if I walk up to a random kid and touch their privates, I'll get more jail time than if I walk up to them and kick them in the privates hard enough to result in hospitalization). The sentence for molesting a child CAN be higher than that for murdering a child, depending on the degree of either. A violent rapist can get out of jail in a few decades; a person who has a few gigs of kiddy porn pics on their computer and who never so much as touched a child can get life-imprisonment.

The scariest thing is that most people are perfectly okay with this and think it logical and rational. I've frequently seen pundits and talk show hosts speak about how child molesters (even the petty, nonviolent ones) are the worst evil on the planet, in the same sentence as the likes of Adolf Hitler and Osama bin Laden, occasionally mentioning how they would like to torture them. The result of this is invariably thunderous applause.

Now, I know that crime is crime, and rape is bad, and children can be helpless. Nobody here is advocating decriminalizing such things. But madness is also madness, clear and simple; and when you start equating the non-violent criminals with the torture-rapists and applying the same criminal levies to both, that is madness; when you start taking bunches of pixels on a screen and ending someone's life for daring to look at it, that is madness.

(The only reason why gay rights have advanced in the Western world over the past few decades is because the moral panic has shifted from homosexuals to pedophiles. Look up some anti-homosexual propaganda from the 1950's — they were equated with child-rapists, too. Before that it was the Japanese/nazis, and before that it was the niggers, and before that it was the Indians, etc, etc, etc. Society seemingly CANNOT FUNCTION without a large group to hate and to fantasize about protecting their children from, preferably by rounding up them all up and starting a bonfire, because a fair trial is only for "us", not "them".

Anonymous 13/11/07(Thu)16:08 No. 7763

>>7762

The worst part about doing anything legally against loli (and also the part why anyone bothers) is that it represents a shift in the way we go after crime, from policing actions to policing thoughts.

The most Russian thing about this, in the Soviet sense, is that it's their way of saying "We don't need you to actually commit a crime for us to go after you". That's why Bush wanted to outlaw that kind of thing, that's why that one fringe Japanese fascist does, that's why that Russian establishment is.

If you can overcome the block against arresting people over fiction, eventually you can arrest them, literally, over fiction.

Exactly correct. This so-called pedohysteria is the one area where society has allowed the concept of thoughtcrime to take hold. We don't imprison people for thinking about using drugs; we get them help. We don't imprison people for thinking about committing a robbery; we get them help. We don't imprison people for thinking about murder; we put them under close watch and get them help.

But if someone admits they are a pedophile, most people would support forcible imprisonment and castration, even if they didn't commit any crime.

You know about doctor/patient confidentiality? Usually, this exists between psychologists/psychiatrists and their patients, too. If you go to your shrink and tell them you've been having thoughts about relapsing into drugs, he won't tell anyone. If you go to your shrink and tell him you've been having thoughts about having sex with your mother, he won't tell anyone. If you tell him that you've been having sexual fantasies about a child, or even imply it, he is LEGALLY OBLIGATED TO INFORM THE POLICE. You will be arrested (no judge, and I mean NO judge will refuse to issue a warrant in that case) without cause, and your house and computer searched. If they find lolicon, that combined with the "confession" to your shrink will probably be enough to result in a conviction for possession of it. No jail time, but you'll be on the sex-offender's list for life.

This is thoughtcrime. This is the future.

(All joking aside, I understand that a lot of SS is male self-insert fantasy. I don't think I've ever seen it where the "boy" doesn't have an adult-sized penis. Many men like the idea of screwing a big girl, at whatever age they first started getting boners thinking about big girls; however, few men like the idea of screwing said big girl with a three-inch penis. In any case, it's irrelevant to this topic, as /ss is still here.)

Alterdz has a great shotacon imageboard. It's in Spanish, but it's not required to understand it or even have an account to navigate and view the pictures.

Rule34 and Gelbooru have some shota if you're willing to weed through everything else and have certain characters/fandoms in mind to search for the tags. Unlike Rule34, on gelbooru, there is even a tag for "shota" that returns roughly 24000 pictures, and also tags for fetishes and physical characteristics so you can narrow your interests.

I've heard genkiforum is pretty good (I was a member, using a different "identity", before they rebooted it a few years ago), but they require registration for an account to see anything, so I haven't been there as I prefer total anonymity these days where I can.

Shotachan (as the name suggests) used to be an open imageboard, but it's been recently transformed into another registration-required forum.

Littleangelshentai is mostly loli, but has a healthy shota subsection. However, like the above, you can't view any images without having an account. All the threads just appear "empty".

Honestly, that's about it. Five-eight years ago, shota was all over the place. But as more and more countries started equating it with CP, more and more hosts no longer allow it. Almost all active /chan boards have dropped it — after the transformation of shotachan, this was literally THE LAST ONE LEFT.

There might be some more foreign-language sites that I don't know about. Maybe ask about it on one of the forums if you want to hazard making an account.

>Google is your friend

I tried that. Got almost all softcore stuff, ALL THE DEVIANTART, and lots of Hetalia screenshots.

Tried "shotacon", got ALL THE DEMOTIVATORS , lots of 3D stuff, and some image hosts.

Tried "ショタコン", and got mostly scans from doujins (and, hilariously, a couple from HunterXHunter) and softcore headshots of boys from various animes.

It's really hit or miss using google.

yes..

the server is hosted in Netherlands.

in 2002, it was illegal to view realistic images representing a minor engaged in a sexually explicit conduct.

but, in January 2011, non-realistic pictures was included.

so i guess your post is breaking the law :P

also, in the UK, CP is calculated on a scale of one to 5, 5 being the worsed kind of CP, and loli is classed as 5/5....

in the USA, loli is classed as art, thus does not have the same rules.

>>
CandleJack 13/11/21(Thu)06:27 No. 7807

>>7806

Some clarifications:

The UK law works based on how explicit the image is. Thus, it depends more on whether the child, real or fictional, is simply undressed or engaged in hardcore sex that determines how high the "rating" is. This is in contrast to the way the USA does things, which puts a picture of an infant being brutally raped and a picture of an infant naked in a bathtub in roughly the same category.

In the USA, there is something called the Miller Test, which basically determines whether a piece of media can be protected under the first amendment (freedom of speech/expression) by asking whether or not it is obscene. It is threefold, asking whether said piece: 1) would be considered obscene by the average person, 2) contain obvious sexual content, 3) has no artistic merit or value. Only a "yes" to all three means the piece is obscene and thus not protected.

The third is the most difficult to determine and thus is the easiest "escape". For example, the famous piece My Lonesome Cowboy is a sculpture of a nude, arguably-teenaged, anime-style boy transforming his semen into a lasso. Most people would be horrified by such a thing, and it's clearly sexual content. However, it is still protected because it is considered a piece of artwork with cultural value.

However, mere loli pictures cannot really be considered as having such value; it is merely pornography. In practice, it is NOT considered art with value, so it IS considered obscene, so it is NOT protected! You won't get FBI agents crashing down your door like they will for real child porn (well, probably not), but if you're caught with it, you will face criminal penalties for having it. It's happened before.

TL:DR - Loli isn't protected under the first amendment in the USA. It's loosely considered child pornography, but enforcement is lax because there are bigger fish to fry.

>I'm wondering if the board really could have avoided the deletion if we banned the "real shota" stories.

Photographs and non-real "pictures" are one thing, but there is no modern country on Earth than has criminalized or banned the written word, in any form. The Diary of Anne Frank includes a bit where she sexually experiments with her cousin; the stuff on /sm was no different from that except in detail (and being mostly false).

I'm still figuring out what to do about /be/. The main problem is figuring out where to draw the line between animal abuse and zoophilia. The case can be made that all zoophilia is animal abuse. You can also specifically call different acts abuse. It's very hard to draw a line that pleases enough people to make the board popular enough to keep around, and also find moderators that can keep that line in place.

I've seen lots of places where the line is drawn.

There's the feminist view: all men are rapists, so it's okay as long as there are no (human) males in there. I suspect this claim is actually created by straight men who only want to see women getting banged by dogs and horses because they're into humiliation.

There's the "passive only" stance. Basically, as long as the human is always the one getting penetrated or using their mouth/hand, it's okay. It boils down to: no men penetrating female or male animals (or, in theory, women using strap-ons or dildos, though I've never seen that). The reasoning behind this is that it's possible to hold down a dog and forcibly penetrate them, but it's not really possible to force a dog to mount you — he'll just jump off if he's not interested. However, this runs into trouble with "dildogging", which many claim is a form of abuse as it probably hurts the dog.

Ideally the best is disallowing anything where the animal is clearly in pain or struggling to escape, but that's not possible unless the moderator(s) personally check every video. The rule could be something like no non-sexual abuse: so no beating, forcing, whipping, snuff, that sort of deal. It would still rely on people to flag suspect videos for the moderators to check, and that still relies on people being civil and not being hypocritical fucktards about other people's fetishes.

You might be able to do something where animal/woman and animal/man is separated. In my experience, it's usually the people who like the former and don't like the latter who start shit. Considering the oversaturation with animal/woman in the genre to the exclusion of most everything else, you might be able to get away with making a couple stickies that the "gay" stuff has to stay in. Then the whiny straight men can just hide that thread and go about their business.

(Oh, and thanks for bringing back /sm, by the way. Forgive me for not trusting the word of politicians at face-value. You've gained my respect, for what it's worth.)

I don't view /be/, not my thing, but this option sounds best. Alternatively you could say 'no humans allowed' and forbid anything with humans resulting in a board full of images of animals doing each other, getting themselves off and what-not. It's all shits and giggles to me.

That's going to exclude a large amount of what was actually posted on /be/

I never understood the point of having animal/women and animal/man, especially if you're trying to filter using penetration.

It should be more: male/human and female/human.

This always pissed me off people making huge zoo torrents sorted by "man" and "women", wtf are you doing mate I'm a zoo I'm looking for males and females here.

i'm all yes for no animals penetrated by humans, if only that would help to revive /be/ faster...

Btw how is a mod even supposed to check videos when people post them on those impossible to use filesharing sites. Even as a user it was just fuck it not worth the effort.

If someone calls out a post as being a virus or something similar, I always delete it. Like you said, it's not worth the effort.

>If someone calls out a post as being a virus or something similar, I always delete it.

In hindsight, that sounds like a very good way to let trolls — who don't like gay shit or don't like any of it — just run roughshod saying legit files have viruses when they don't. I understand that you can't check out only those that are flagged, because then the trolls will just continue doing so to waste your time, but still. There has to be a better way.

That very rarely happens. The last time someone called out a virus was several months ago.
And as a way to prevent your post being deleted as spam, if I do fuck up, I encourage you to post some sort of message alongside it instead of just the download link. URL shorteners also throw up a big red flag for spam.
