I just figured it'd make as much sense to call him a pedo as he does claiming everyone who disagrees with him is a communist.

He wouldn't know a communist if one walked up and slapped their dick across his face. Which, I believe, is what happens to him every weeknight.

Except for the communist part.

A communist is an adherent to, or supporter of communism: a theory or system of social organization in which all property is owned by the community and each person contributes and receives according to their ability and needs.

Yep.

And the thing is, there are communist political parties in the US. They make about as big a showing each year as the Libertarian party does. Which is to say, not a whole lot. But at least they don't let hairy fat guys wearing thongs strip off all their clothes at their convention and strut around like they're God's gift to humanity.

Of course nobody who advocates for the nationalization of all fossil fuel companies, factories, steel mills, automotive companies, etc., etc. actually belongs to a major party.

Not even Bernie.

>My needs are greatest and outweigh anyone else's

This is why there are no "communist" countries on the planet Earth. There's always some asshole like you who dumps a huge authoritarian shit on the revolution before anyone has a chance to set up a system that would actually protect the division of property and wealth from someone like you.

Maybe it can never work. Maybe there will always be this asshole. I'm not advocating for it anyway. My point was to get you to comprehend that the pejorative use of "communist" you learned in whatever red state you had the misfortune of growing up in does not actually mean "communist".

What you hate isn't communism or communists. What you hate is a fictional boogeyman made up by corporate gluttons for their co-opted politicians to pretend to stand against and their media co-horts to drum up every time the public starts to get overly dissatisfied with the abject failure of western democracy and capitalism to satisfy their most basic needs.

Maybe? There's always an asshole. Always. Like what is wrong with you that you haven't learned that people will always do what they can? So extremely cavalier with people's lives that they start a revolution with absolutely no fucking plan for government or prevention of despotism.

>I'm not advocating for it anyway. My point was to get you to comprehend that the pejorative use of "communist" you learned in whatever red state you had the misfortune of growing up in does not actually mean "communist".
I grew up and still currently reside in the bluest blue state in existence, and I know commies well. Liars. Constantly gaslighting, excusing, and manipulating. I stand by what I said. Say one thing and do another.

Actually there were quite a few defectors from the west.

East Germany had a very long, very contentious relationship with USSR, any attempt to claim that East Germany represented the totality of communism is specious logic at best, disinformation at worst.

Should I go with the Russo-Ukranian famine of the late 40's and it's mirror in The Great Chinese Famine in early 1950's as a communist characteristic?

Both totally preventable. The lesson being the state can't distribute resources as fast a market or predict futures like a market.

Actually the former is called the Holodomor and occurred because Ukrainians were organizing to leave the USSR. When crop yields went down the Russians decided to let Ukrainians starve and use that food to feed Russians, so Russians could then take over Ukrainian land.

It has nothing to do with communism, has everything to do with Russians doing what Russians have always done.

If choice is an illusion, then everything must be deterministic, meaning you have no personal experience nor influence over which you have power. So then why have an opinion about a choice that doesn't exist to the extent that you feel motivated to say "well I can't make a choice."

Did you decide to not have a choice, or are you just a broken cricket in the wind? Whom was it mean to convince? Or did nobody hear it anyway?

Sounds more like a devolution into a question of whether or not free will exists. That's an interesting question, but I don't think it's really relevant to the thread topic beyond pointing out that OP posited an obvious choice between banning all political parties or not. So if you believe that there is no choice, then the topic is moot, and you should base you argument on that observation instead.

As far as I'm concerend you just made an obvious choice to lose.

Fuck you. I have been telling people to vote third party for nearly a decade now. Consistently.

I'm gonna guess you haven't been of voting age for all that long. Give it time, you'll see that in most contemporary democracies, strategic voting is an absolute necessity to tip the scales to the lesser of an evil (regardless of what position one has).

No point in voting 3rd parties if they never, ever will have a chance to get elected. It just splits the vote and makes it easier for other shitty parties/politicians to get in. It's a huge problem in parliamentary systems, such as Canada, United Kingdom and India too. It sucks, but if the only parties that realistically stand any chance in your time are A or B and you really hate B but aren't that fond for A, you still vote A anyway.

yeah, well that's what we are supposed to think
If we do think about, only thing wrong is if you think a bit hard
You realize that Party A and B are just two heads of the same beast. Party C,D,E are just smaller and smaller heads of said same beast
A real new party which has as much chance now as ever of spring to life and changing things
I like to to see
In the United Kingdom, though the civil service runs the counrty
we could scrap the parties, parliament and the house of lords
The United Kingdom, would just keep on rolling along

It happened in Belgium, they had no government for over 18 months, their civil service just kept running the country
