Film/series with John Goodman(?) Anonymous 25/09/13(Sat)13:29 No. 23085 [Reply]

Can someone please identify this scene for me? I don't know if it's a film or a series nor if the father is played by John Goodman or someone who looks like him. Don't know how old it is, no younger than the 2010s (probably). It takes place "here and now".

A Jewish family is having dinner. One of the sons asks about his father's parents, that it is true that they fled from the Nazis to the USA & met there.

"Yes, that is true" is the answer.

Then he asks his mother if it is true that her parents fled from the Nazis to the USA & met in the USA.

"Yes, that is true" she says.

Both parents smile big & it is really cozy.

The son thinks for a while & says:

"So if it weren't for Hitler and the Holocaust, *none* of us would be here."

Ahhh, yes, the old
Janus God Complex, also known as the Kokiri Forest, which had no trees except the 1 tree and some cherry trees at the time, which nobody who lived in before 2000 survived past 2002.

One of my greatest deeds was going on the pirates ride at Disneyland in the 90's because that made the Pirates Of The Caribbean movies magical :3

Pity about the ghosts saw. But history is awesome! The sound bites still tickle me, when the sun is up. The recorders must have known me.

Time to bring peace to the living dead.

My holy ghostliness really made "the pirates code" funny. Because of the trouble identity jokes. It's funny looking back at how hysterical those actors were about those jokes.

how the hell did the likes of Bill Pullman, Bridget Fonda, Brendan Gleeson, Oliver Platt, and Betty White got involved in this flat and plain B tier creature feature?
was David E Kelley really that big of a namepull in the 90's?

and even if we ever made the comparison to Jaws (1975) for both being a creature feature
it's not gonna be a fair one
Jaws blew it out of the proverbial water
in every conceivable way, even with a simple premise, and a dated creature animatronic
director, writing, cinematography, score, casting, acting
utterly outclassed

her character, paleontologist kelly scott, doesn't make any sense either
>A Letterboxd review describes Fonda's character as a "snobby uptight New York female," suggesting she was cast to embody a fish-out-of-water archetype, a staple in David E. Kelley's writing.
of the two of the actual paleontologist that I've met & known, they loved the outdoors, the very picture of outdoorsmen, they stalk badlands and empty wastes, not afraid to get into the dirt, they have an air of both academics and rural folks
so this, "snobby uptight New York female," remark is nuts

I agree Random Access Memories is a great album, but I wouldn't go so far as to say every song on it is a 10/10.
I'll pick 98.12.28 男達の別れ , but it's largely dependent on if you like or dislike Sato's voice.
