Some good books about it? I'm not even a rookie in chinese religion. So a good start up in between other books that are well translated into english will suffice.

My mother is catholic, my grandfather, my grandmother and so on are. But i've been seeing a lot of chinese religions and since i was a child i connected to Buddhism. Now i've heard about Taoism and a little to what it represents and i like and feel more connected towards that part. I only know a little about it. To be honest almost nothing but the general of it.

The barrier you hit early is that the Han Chinese are very fond of painting their cultural/ religious practices as daoist.

This isn't about purism, I'm talking issues relating to the same words being used by different groups.
Quickly it becomes hard to distinguish daoist tradition from Han Chinese folklore and particularly fortune telling.
