Yes, you're posting in one, there are very active and knowledgeable members here, sometimes they take a while to respond though. For example we have an Antarctica expert that chimes in every once in a few months, but has a absolute wealth of knowledge actually we have more than one Antarctica expert I think.

I myself am an expert on many topics /x/ related. Not so much zombies, but I would support reopening that board so I could learn more.

There are no regular posters on this board, and on the site as well, except maybe polfags. I mean, the board has existed for more than fifteen years and there are only 22100 posts. It's completely dead.
