Can any one suggest a good model police scanner for my car?
I don't want one that beeps when cops are near or something I want a literal police radio in my vehicle. Does anyone on this board have experience with this? I figure if anyone will know fellow drug addicts will.

I ended up buying a beofang UVR for 20 bucks (15 dollars because it was on sale) and it does everything I really need it to. It doesn't pick up LF or LVF but it grabs HF UHF ANS VHF frequencies including: The police department, Fire Department, EMS, The local plant, the Buss line and airtraffic control tower.

It's pretty neat. You just have to be careful because you need special licensees to broadcast out on these channels. i think i'll get a CB radio next and hook it up to my car.

Shit scanners still work in some places. Isn't everyone digital and encrypted by now? Crazy to think in the past if you knew the right channel. You could eavesdrop on even the undercover narcs. Imagine going yeah black jacked and the hat the shots clear now remember aim for the head see you in hell narc. And some they shit their pants opening fire on some randos they think are drug dealers. Or just randomly going on channels OH FUCK BANG BANG BANG AUTOMATIC SHOTS FIRE NEED BACKUP NOW.
