I picked up a page loader somewhere which tries it's best to load (opens a new tab) and is 98% blocked by chrome as well as the stuff I have loaded on chrome.

I have checked my latest installs and all of them are from legit sites.
I have run Malwarebytes, Windows Defender, Spybot search and destroy, adwcleaner and Hiitman pro. Nothing has found anything. just going to install Kaspersky with little hope.

I have a bunch of tabs I would like to keep as well as passwords and bookmarks do I don't want to do a fresh install - yet.

I did update (from a legit site) and if I had thought about it I could have probably used system restore.
- unfortunately I deleted those.
it's Chrome Portable 64 so could install it in a different directory and then move my bookmarks and stuff but I really just want to find the redirect.
(it makes an attempt to load a page about every hour or so after the initial attempt.
I also thought as it's the portable version that the problem would be in the program directory but nothing has found any problems.
I'm running Scanguard and it's finding nothing even when the damn thing is active.
I'm also going through and scanning Users/Admin and I suppose Documents and settings but I haven't found anything.

i woke up my computer tonight after our family got back from dinner, and found my pirated copy of adobe premiere elements fifteen running.

this software has been out of date and unable to run for, i think, six months now. never opens, no matter what route i take.

when i try to open it, a splash screen asking me to choose whether to open photoshop or premiere has always opened first. and after it broke, this splash screen is as far as it could go.

tonight, when i woke up my computer, the whole program was just up and running, ready to have a video file dropped into it.

i dont know how to read event logs very well, but there are several entries from when my computer was supposed to be asleep. can someone tell me what i should redact from my system log before posting it here, so i can post it and have you all take a look?

i'm also looking into some software that apparently reveals deleted system log entries that bla bla bla nsa bla bla apparently use to delete event log entries when they hax ur mainframes.

You've already answered your question. Your copy is pirated, and considering how Adobe authenticates software at this point it is bound to be buggy as hell, unlike ye olden days when all you needed was to write a keygen in C. It's buggy, so it is bound to act up to a certain degree.

You could always try uninstalling your crack, cleaning up any remnants you can find of the crack, uninstalling premiere, run the cc cleanup tool, reboot, then reinstall premiere, then your crack, and pray.

can malware fuck up external devices' drivers or firmware?

i was installing a pirated game (teehee) and all of a sudden i loose screen, mouse, keyboard and hdd signal. i make no big deal out of it since my baby is around 10yo so i just restart it
when it boots up, i open my browser without worries and i loose signal again. i try to restart it but now it remains signal-less. cant even get into the bios nor use a preinstall enviroment since it doesnt recognize any external devices
halp? i even tried to fix this shit by removing the mobo battery for around 10 minutes, to no avail
