Does anyone else think that it's weird how in most zombie movies the characters never seem to recognize a zombie outbreak is taking place? I think with how ingrained zombies have become in popular culture everyone would catch on pretty quickly.

This problem is easily explained. Zombies are a problem being covered up by world government in those movies. These things exist but are kept under wraps big time, to the point where the only way people find out about it is when the whole thing collapses.

That is a good point. What reason do you think the government would have to keep their existence hidden from the public? One reason I can come up with is zombies could be a valuable tool during war.

I assume they wouldn't want people to panic. Or try to get intentionally infected because "it can't be that bad!" or "it's from GOD!"
