Update: So, while running up to the store to get some snacks, an illegal alien driving a pickup pulled out in front of me while I was doing highway speeds (being that I live right next to the highway). I ended up laying my bike down, but went under the truck; smacked my head real good on his rear bumper (thank God I was wearing my helmet) and he ran over my motorcycle with his rear tires, flipping it over and, in the process, flipping me over with the bike rolling over me and sending me flying into a ditch. My bike is totaled, I had a serious concussion and major injuries to my back and legs, and the uninsured, unlicensed, wetback in the country illegally fled the scene, got arrested for a hit-and-run a few miles down the road, and was released on bail and hasn't been seen since (shoulda seen that one coming, assholes.).
I've been in physical therapy for months, have been home for a few weeks, and am expected to make a full recovery, but other than my therapy sessions I've mostly been confined to bed. Heavy painkillers have been seriously fucking with my ability to function and I'm only now stepping down the doses and starting to resume a normal life. I'll be walking with a cane for a few more months and wearing a brace so my back can heal, but at least now I'm not sleeping 18 hours a day and spending my waking moments either staring at the tv with glazed over eyes or hallucinating scenes from John Dies at the End or From Dusk Til Dawn are happening inside my house. Yeah, that was really fucked up, I had a friend come and remove all the guns and cutlery from my house so I wouldn't accidentally blow a hole in the wall trying to kill a demon. I'm on different meds now and reduced doses, so I'm more or less completely coherent. Still in a lot of pain though, and suffering from a serious lack of motivation to do just about anything, which I suspect is because of the drugs.
Here's where you come in:
The next chapter is already written and as soon as I figure out where the hell it is on my computer (I hide that sort of shit so nobody accidentally comes across it if they borrow my computer, and I'm sufficiently fuzzy-minded that I can't remember where it is at the moment. Don't worry, it'll come to me.) I'll go ahead and post it. Meanwhile, I'd like to start actively writing again, if I can summon enough give-a-fuck to do anything besides giggle at youtube videos.
Finally, if anyone would like to start an official asstr or whatever that site is page for my story and copy-paste it into there (I suppose each post should be an individual chapter or something), you officially have my permission, so long as you credit me, a link to this thread is given in the first chapter, and you name me something other than OP. I dunno, suggest some names and I'll pick a favorite or put it to a vote or something, I can't think of anything. Maybe something related to the amazing bouts of shitty luck I've had (which seem to be a once-a-year occurrence, now that I think about it), or amazing luck that I've survived all this shit, whichever way you look at it.
I have no idea if this post was all that coherent, since I'm currently high as a fucking kite, but there you go. I'll post the next chapter as soon as I find what the hell I did with it, and meanwhile hope to start writing again soon. Soon meaning sometime between now and the inevitable heat death of the universe.
