12-hour glowsticks and road flares, I have a theory about road flares being a viable last-ditch weapon I would also imagine they could be used as a distraction or make zeds/other survivors think you're somewhere else. Making it look like you're camped up somewhere else and then getting into a position where you can find out if it was survivors or infected you heard, and in the case of survivors if they have weapons.
Baking powder, oral hygiene is extremely important. Just a little water + a clean finger is all you need with baking powder.
Extra socks, wet feet + a lot of walking is a good way to put yourself out of commission for a few days or at least very uncomfortable.
Ziplock bags, arguably as many uses as duct tape. Can be used for everything from waterproof storage to makeshift gloves.
Zippo lighter, easy to refill and it's not hard to find flints or fluid. Obvious bonus against butane lighters as it has no under pressure content. Plus the fluid can be used as a fire starter easily.
Polarized sunglasses (mine are Rx), especially useful for winter time where snowblindness is a possibility plus it cuts down on glare.
A rifle scope, can be used as a spotting scope even if you don't have a rifle, plus even even if you need glasses you can use a scope to see distances unless you're farsighted as it's the same as having an image right in front of your face.
High quality pens and paper, you can draw maps and jot down points of interest as well as keep a travel log and even an inventory if you settle down somewhere with other survivors. I use high quality pens and paper and even if I drop it in water or it gets rained on the writings wont get completely ruined. Plus you can use a fountain pen for a one time use last ditch weapon (maybe).
