Seattle rain is a disappointment. For a few weeks in fall and sometimes late winter we get nonstop rain which is great, but then the rain just kinda gives up and only comes round every so often. Summers are completely dry. It's also usually light, so you can't even hear it on the windows.

I hear Ireland gets a lot of rain.

Dear John,

It has only snowed here twice this year. It is unseasonably dry.

I do like the rain though. We could use more of it.

Yours truly,
John

P.S. I like to just sit and watch it rain. I also like to just sit and watch it snow. Weather is so nice to watch.

Today, John, I continued my struggle of trying to make my two pet ferrets interact on friendly terms. While usually social animals the newer creature is having trouble learning that gentle nibbles are a sign of playful and are not, in fact, vicious attacks designed to maim and kill. The screams it gives off when running away scared are most disconcerting but given that ferrets have the jaw strength to bite a finger clean off at the knuckle I suppose it’s fear and self-sense of dragility are not without merit.

Fragility. Not dragility. I have also yet to get used to this phone’s keyboard. Another struggle I continue on with.

Dear John,

I also ride the bus. It takes about an hour for me to get to work in the morning. It takes me about another hour to get home at night. I have to admit, however, that I transfer to another bus in the morning. My bus driver's name is Frank.

Yours truly,

John

Hello, John.

I'm frightened by everything. New places,Failure, enclosed spaces, Large crowds. the list goes on. My biggest fear remains social interaction. At this point in my life i believe that hell is not a place or a state of mind. I think that hell is actually other people.
What are you frightened by and why?

Sincerely,John.

John,

It seems we're already at the end of 2017. I had a bit of a shock when I glanced at my calendar today and realized New Year's Eve was this weekend, and not the next. When I don't have events coming up on my schedule I can lose track of dates pretty easily...

Looking back, I think I can call this a good year. There were rocky points but I'm still alive, and I've managed to set several good things in motion for myself. I'm feeling optimistic about my future, for once. How has the year been for you? Any plans or resolutions as we go into the next one?

Yours as always,
-John

I'm sure Agent Smith explained that, John.

I wonder why the matrixrobots didn't just enslave Africa. Much more people and they get children more quickly. Or is it because blacks have less brainpower?

John Smith 18/01/04(Thu)01:49 No. 46362

Even superobots couldn't make Africa have clean, consistent power, much less calm the people down long enough to enslave them all. Boko Haram or one of the other millions of militant groups would just wander in and shoot up the place while they're trying to build their infrastructure, putting them back to square one.

On here to maybe feed some excitement in my currently boring existence.

Hello John

Excitement sounds like a bit much but I do have in fact 2 pet dogs. I love them a lot and their excitement when I come home from work often makes a bad day feel much better. on a different note John do you have any places like a restaurant or perhaps small locally owned store that you like going to?

John have you ever been in an elevator? Nothing but you and that characterless elevator music humming in your ear. I find these times to be so odd. Kind of like you're in a small bubble by yourself, surrounded by nothing but your thoughts (and elevator music). During these times I tend to think about all the places I'll never go and all the people I never get to meet.

I once did a meditation in an elevator (sans music). I entered the door and then stood there until another person interacted with it. I was alone in the elevator for several minutes before it began to climb; eventually I got out on the sixth floor, where I had no business at all.

When I returned I posted an audio recording of my thought process online, but regrettably this has been lost over the years.
