I'd like to start learning to code Python. Does anyone have tips for me on where to start or tips in general?

I used that book to learn the basics of python, but towards the end the book went down the shitter for me. It seemed to jump around too much, when before he made it clear what he wanted you to do.

Just go with "learn python 3 the hard way" it's the best for beginners. Don't get scared by the name, actually it is the easiest way to learn how to code.
Avoid the rest. For now, after you finish the book get another manual and restudy the basic, you will understand everything and how to use the language.

i would just start by doing a codecademy course on python because learning by doing is the most effective way to learn and remember the content you are being taught
