Original Content. What do you think?

I think construction is going to be a bitch, but with a good crew and solid security it is an achievable build.

As a sidebar note, I'd like to say I realize these are relatively massive projects to undertake given the duress of the zombie wasteland. They would require a skilled labor force, no matter what the case may be, and a stout security detail in this case. Additionally, you would need access to the resources necessary for the build: building supplies, heavy machinery, tools, and fuel.

All that said, I think this could still be a feasible build with a large, strong group. I've tried to imagine these builds as something that could be reasonably accomplished with limited resources common in the zombie wasteland. You may be scavenging and stripping old buildings, or raid a couple warehouses and industrial shop yards for supplies. There's likely going to be abandoned machinery everywhere, and you really only need a couple backhoes, bulldozers, flatbeds, and concrete mixers for the job.

I grew up in a rural city and its surrounding areas. I would see the required materials all the time, it's what used to get my gears turning. So yes the setup would need to be perfect and our execution flawless, but if we can get a group together that's well organized and motivated, this would be a great build. Our aim would be to create a secure and sustainable environment in the zombie wasteland. We aim to not only survive, but to thrive.

And if a car gets over the trench in some miraculous way, I doubt it will have enough momentum left to do much damage to the wall. Especially if we build this thing out in the middle of the woods with only 1 road going in and out.

You forgot op works for Umbrella. I've seen his work. His fortress designs have been incorporated into many defense structures all over the world. I'd give a listing but its classified.

Yeah, but is that really a positive reference for the guy's skills at designing defenses? Every single one of Umbrella's defensive works have folded like a well used accordion. Just look at that mess in Opossum City...uh, I mean...

Seriously, though, I see a potentially fatal flaw with the design. The basic idea, using the detritus from a moat to build the dike for the fortress, is as old as organized warfare; an idea doesn't survive that long unless it has some REAL merit. I think that the way OP has used modern materials and construction methods for his works is very pragmatic and encouragingly competent. The problem, I think, is one of scale. The curtain-wall needs to be AT LEAST twice as tall as it is currently rendered. There is a real danger that, if the position falls under serious attack...surrounded by the usual horde of tens of thousands of walking corpses...that the zeds you kill will eventually form a ramp which the next wave can shamble up and clamber over your ramparts. That would be VERY bad; better to take longer in the construction phase (though this would of course be very risky) than to find out that your position is not sound after it is too late to do anything about it. Short version; deeper ditch, higher dike, problem solved.

The Marines easily slaughter the knights with their guns and drone strike the survivors and their families. However, it would be a pyrrhic victory as the Marines would die from biological contamination of long extinct viruses that have no cure.

Crusaders. Here's why.

>No reliance on modern luxuries like gps and electricity
>Knew basic survival skills like foraging, preserving, hunting, and cooking
>Comparatively easier repairing method to guns
>Often carried spears
>Robust immune system
>Came with both a vehicle and emergency food source
>Weren't retarded

Oh, and also some of them might have shields.

It's been a couple of spins of the Earth since a fair few of us clubbed together to create this. As a nod to the past and for the new guys to I thought I'd release the latest version (not to mention backup purposes). Only a couple of achievements have changed but most of it remains the same.

And of course, feel free to suggest tweaks and more.

Which celebrity or famous figure (living or dead) would you choose as your sidekick, and why? Myself, Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt because he was pretty much a living Chuck Norris joke. An experienced soldier, he and his regiment the "Rough Riders" won critical battles during the Spanish-American war which led to a U.S. victory. As commissioner of the NYPD, instead of sitting in his cushy office all day, he would go undercover and root out deceit and corruption in his police force wherever he found it, promptly dismissing and beating the ever-loving shit of any one of his officers he found accepting bribes or slacking off. Lastly, he showed crucial survival skills, fighting disease, the elements, and hostile tribes and living off the jungle for AN ENTIRE YEAR.

Interested in others thoughts and contributions. Commence.

If that's how this is gonna be then I pick Rick Sanchez. He'll just fix my zombie problem globally and then bounce to his own reality, leaving me to my planet of corpses. But at least I won't have a zombie problem anymore!

So I’m looking for a certain zombie movie. I can’t remember if it’s a George A Romero film or not, but one scene has kids (maybe punks?) that were in a room. Basement I believe and one of the zombies is interesting. I remember it having a hole in its stomach with its spine exposed or a very elongated spine so it’s head was dragging. Not the zombies from Return of the dead and not any zombies from Land of the dead but it kinda was like the priest zombie that threw its neck to bite the character in land of the dead. If you know what movie I’m talking about please let me know what the title is. Please and thank you.

That makes sense. Zombies in the zombie board. Inactive figures not doing much. Low activity. Good contribution. I like this one. It has the trait "quality" and that's the full story. What a serious contribution here, I am a fan of this. I will never forget this here contribution. lol I don't know, though, I may not be that discriminatory for zombies as a thing overall. I can accept all types of people. I don't do negative things to people just for them having this set up or that set up. I'm not in that kind of lifestyle in any capacity. Why worsen others lives? My stance here may actually expand into other types of beings beyond this species. I may actually think good treatment of such forms isn't so bad. I think the aforementioned entities could have a place in the world amongst us currently as we are. It's not so distant from a reasonable position. It's not the worst idea there could be. I am considering it. The future is surely uncertain in this case. Really not known. lol Based.

I'd ask for a moment of silence, but apparently /zom/ is equally dead.

Shambler 18/11/14(Wed)16:43 No. 5625 ID: d01a04

i consider a Sniper Rifle to be essential, so my choice is straight away narrowed down to B and H.

secondaries are both decent SMGs, so i'm not too worried about that. as for the rest... a katana could cut some fuckers up and the riot gas might help repel raiders while i pick em off with my rifle, whereas having a knuckle duster and a throwing knife seems completely useless. it therefore has to be B.

if i could take one from each category, then it would be: H, F, C, A.
